Supporting female entrepreneurs with the MicroLoan Foundation

At TLF, we are deeply committed to supporting international development projects focusing on women in business. We’re incredibly proud of our long-standing partnership with the MicroLoan Foundation, a charity dedicated to women’s empowement and poverty alleviation in sub-Saharan Africa.

The MicroLoan Foundation elevates some of the poorest women in sub-Saharan Africa by providing them with the tools, skills and financial resources they need to lift themselves out of poverty. Through microloans, mentoring and ongoing support, they offer opportunities to women who would otherwise be excluded from financial services. Over the past decade, in partnership with the MicroLoan Foundation, we’re proud to have contributed over £440,000 in donations, helping to transform countless lives.

Supporting women in the UK

TLF also champions charities that support women in the UK, for example, through donations to the charity Refuge, the largest domestic abuse organisation in the country. Their services support thousands of survivors, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives.

Scaling great heights for an important cause

Our Marketing Consultant, Natalie Hall, recently took on the challenging trek to the summit of Mount Mulanje, Malawi’s highest peak, reaching an impressive altitude of  2,800 metres. This remarkable effort was part of a fundraising campaign for the Microloan Foundation, and Natalie, with her fellow trekkers, raised an outstanding £25,299! During her journey, Natalie had the opportunity to visit a local branch of the MicroLoan Foundation and witness the charity’s life-changing impact firsthand.

Find out more about Natalie’s trek and the work of Microloan.
