Corporate Social Responsibility
For us social conscience isn’t simply a box-ticking exercise, but something we like to encourage our staff to embrace as individuals and we lead by example. So as well as ensuring we recycle everything we can and striving to be a paperless company, we also proudly support two charities: Oxfam and The Microloan Foundation.
Thanks to our clients, we are proud to say that since partnering with Oxfam and The Microloan Foundation, we’ve donated over £800,000 to these two wonderful charities and their life-changing projects.
We are extremely proud to be able to contribute to helping Oxfam find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice around the globe. During our time supporting them, we have made contributions to projects in Rwanda, Tanzania, Brazil and Malawi. We have also supported projects to help prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS among women and children in South Africa.
The Language Factory is also pleased to support the Microloan Foundation’s objective to assist the poorest women in rural Africa to help themselves and their families out of poverty. The Microloan Foundation does this by providing loans, mentoring and support to people who would otherwise have no access to financial services, allowing individuals to run businesses and pay for food and education.
Please contact us directly if you would like to learn more about our commitment to supporting these two charities. Alternatively, if you are interested in contributing to the important work they do throughout the world, you can visit their websites at: www.oxfam.org.uk or www.microloanfoundation.org.uk.
